A new drive-thru shop offering coffee, energy drinks, teas, and more is being proposed for a vacant lot on Route 9 in Hadley, in front of Mountain Farms Mall. The business, 7 Brew Coffee, is a drive-thru-only model where staff take orders from customers' vehicles using iPads. Already operating in 27 states, 7 Brew aims to expand into Hadley by leveraging its unique, customer-friendly service. The proposal includes a 510-square-foot building and parking area. Concurrently, the Planning Board is also reviewing a proposed mural for the upcoming Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant at the former PeoplesBank site. The mural, featuring a Greek god holding a cellphone, has sparked debate among board members over its classification as art versus advertising. Additionally, the board approved modifications for other local businesses, including a new outdoor cooler and patio for Skinny Pancake, and changes for TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Various other local business updates were also discussed.
